One unfortunate side effect of our lovely live oak trees are the roots wreck havoc on our sidewalks - raising them to a potential tripping hazard.  We have gotten into a two year cycle to have them addressed.  The smaller rises are resolved with a grinding to smooth the joints between sections.  Most sections, however, must be broken up, tree roots cut and dug out and the concrete re-poured.  This is a VERY labor intensive effort.

The Hunters Green Master Association is working with the City of Tampa and an arborist consultant to do a tree inventory and come up with possible alternative trees for neighborhoods.
